The answer in one line

After the Carnitos fight take the Tin Key from the wire and open the locked door, use the key on the box in the theater above the fly room to get the Green Candle, then light it and use it on the green symbol in the stairwell.

Where the puzzle is

The Desiderium is the corrupted version of the building that you enter after meeting Sanguis on the film set. This puzzle spans three spots there: the room after the Carnitos fight, the theater above the Lead Fly room, and the stairwell with a green symbol.

There is no written clue. The green symbol in the stairwell is what blocks the way to the 2nd and 3rd floors, and it takes a lit Green Candle.

What you need

  • Tin Key: hanging on the wire in the room after the Carnitos fight
  • Green Candle: inside the box in the theater above the fly room (opened with the Tin Key)
  • Lighter: from the film offices earlier in the game (the exact pickup spot is not confirmed)

Step by step

  1. Take the Tin Key after the Carnitos fight

    Once the Carnitos fight is over, take the Tin Key that hangs on the wire in that room and use it on the locked door there.

  2. Open the theater box with the Tin Key

    Go to the theater above the Lead Fly room and use the Tin Key on the box. Inside is the Green Candle.

  3. Light the Green Candle on the stairwell symbol

    Light the Green Candle with the Lighter and use it on the green symbol in the stairwell. The way up to the 2nd and 3rd floors opens.

If it doesn’t work

I can't find the theater.
It is above the Lead Fly tile rooms on the 1st floor, the puzzle that comes just before this one.
Using the candle on the green symbol does nothing.
Light the candle with the Lighter before you use it; the walkthroughs light it first and then use it on the symbol. Make sure it is the green symbol in the stairwell, not a red one elsewhere.
